Opened in fall 2021, the 弗朗西斯X. and Nancy Hursey中心 for Advanced Engineering and Health Professions has transformed our campus and will continue to meet the needs of high-caliber, 专用的, and deserving students for years to come.
The Hursey中心, a 60,000-square-foot academic building in the academic quad, 房子新, 专业, and technology-rich facilities for our growing programs in the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture; and the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions.
The placement of the Hursey中心 intentionally creates a series of gathering spaces around the building and across the quad. The iconic green roof aesthetically blends the building with the surrounding environment, while showcasing the many environmentally friendly features contained within.
今年六月, UHart hosted a panel discussion with Frank Hursey, his business partner, and the author of a book about his QuikClot invention.
UHart’s first BSN students will graduate this spring, and are prepared to bring skills and compassion to a variety of in-demand roles.
Projects included glasses that translate text into different languages, a concussion-detecting helmet, and a miniature vehicle driven by a humanoid robot.
The Hursey中心 construction was completed in time to welcome new and returning UHart students for the start of the fall 2021 semester. From wind tunnels for aerospace engineering to lifelike simulation manikins for nursing, the Hursey中心 provides opportunities for a new kind of learning experience for our students.
