荣誉研讨会
2024年秋季
These seminars provide students an opportunity to work closely with faculty members and think about complex problems and issues across disciplinary boundaries or outside of traditional disciplinary trajectories. They seek to cultivate the skills of critical thinking, cogent argumentation, and effective writing, all by attending to a particular subject matter.
有什么需要
To graduate with Honors, students need to complete 18 credits of Honors coursework (9 credits in Hillyer College). Most of the Honors credits are integrated into the students' curriculum plan; depending on the College, students will complete 3–6 credits of work beyond what is required for the major. The specific requirements for each College can be found by visiting our College Requirements 网页.

Teagan Devoe '22, Honors StudentThe 荣誉项目 has prepared me for my future as I now have experience not only dedicating a significant amount of time to a specific subject within my field of interest, but also working in a professional research setting. Completing a project under the NASA CT Space Grant, while working with such highly experienced individuals, was an incredible opportunity."

As a composition major, the most meaningful aspect of the 荣誉项目 was the opportunity to write, 投, and produce an original musical, Escaping Eden: A New Folk Musical. The process allowed Dawson to develop many real-world skills that can be used as they continue to write and produce their own works. Dawson was selected to present their work at the Northeast Regional Honors Conference in Philadelphia.
The 荣誉项目 has prepared me for the future by helping me create artistic works that I will use in my professional career as a composer to market myself and my abilities. Following graduation, I am moving to 纽约市, and I will use the work I've done on Escaping Eden to apply for workshops, 阅读, 研究生院."
